Creating DVD Amaray Wrap in Photoshop

In this post i will outline the process of creating a DVD Amaray wrap in Adobe Photoshop.

1. Create a project using the combined size of both the front and back and spine of the wrap.

2. Create the first guide by navigating to View > New Guide and set the position to "5.125in" as seen in the image below.

3. Calculating the position of the next guide, which is adding the position of the first guide "5.125in" and the size of the spine which is "0.5in" then creating the second guide for the spine.

4. Next I created a guide for both the very left edge of the wrap and the very right edge of the wrap to give myself some guides to work to.

Now that I have created the guides for the front back and spine I can design the layout of the DVD wrap, for example setting the position of the title and barcode and also where to add the synopsis on the back of the case.
