The Amory Wars was written by Claudio Sanchez the lead singer from the band Coheed and Cambria and each album has a comic book which corresponds to the story told within the music in that album.
To date they have recorded 7 studio albums and 4 of which have either a comic book or novel attached to it.
Recently the rights to a "The Amory Wars" film were sold to Mark Wahlberg and Leverage to produce a live action feature length film.
There are several different main characters within "The Amory Wars" saga, the main 5 that i will focus on are Coheed Kilgannon, Cambria Kilgannon, Claudio Kilgannon, Inferno and Paranoia.

The basic story line to the comic book is that Coheed and Cambria Kilgannon have been infected with a virus called the Monstar Virus, the first half of the story deals with Coheed and Cambria's battle against ultimate TriMage ruler of Heavens Fence Wilhelm Ryan, whereas the second half deals with their son (Claudio Kilgannon) who becomes The Crowing the foretold saviour of Heavens Fence. The whole saga is based on a universe called Heavens Fence, which is 78 planets aligned in triangular form, each held in position to the next planet by an energy called "The Keywork".
Wilhelm Ryan is the ultimate Trimage ruler of heavens fence and is attempting to destroy Claudio Kilgannon with his red army which is controlled by Mayo Deftinwolf, one of the ways Wilhelm Ryan controls the people of heavens fence is by defending a "Black Rainbow"(this section of the comic book is based on Coheed and Cambria's 5th Studio Album) over the universe which sparks controversy whether it is a work of god or Ryan.
